IVA and ThinkAnalytics Team on Entertainment Metadata for Intelligent Navigation and Content Recommendations

IVA metadata and ThinkAnalytics’ Recommendations Engine expand personalized content recommendations worldwide

LONDON and LOS ANGELES(22 Jan 2014)

ThinkAnalytics, developer of the world’s most deployed multiplatform TV search and recommendations engine, and Internet Video Archive (IVA), the world’s largest online trailer service, today announced the two companies have entered into a new metadata matching agreement. Under today’s deal, IVA’s entertainment metadata will be matched to the ThinkAnalytics Search and Recommendations Engine, to enhance consumers’ individualized multiplatform content recommendations.

The joint solution delivers personalized search and recommendations with embedded movie trailers, previews, interviews, giving consumers more ways to discover content. The robust offering integrates IVA’s portfolio of promotional content with ThinkAnalytic’s ThinkTV, ThinkMovies and ThinkSports metadata libraries giving service providers and content providers the most comprehensive set of metadata tags available today, covering movies, entertainment, linear EPG, VOD, OTT and sports content.

The resulting repository marries IVA’s one million video files to ThinkAnalytics’ ThinkMovies with over 500,000 movie titles, in more than 20 languages. Additionally, customers will have access to ThinkTV, which includes10,000 moods, tags and keywords for regional TV shows, and ThinkSports, covering 50 sports across more than 20 countries.

"Personalization is a vital component in content discovery and guidance,” said Rhodes Mason, Senior Vice President of Business Development for IVA. “ThinkAnalytics' recommendation engine is an excellent choice for IVA clients to raise their engagement rates."

“Trailers and previews help connect consumers to additional purchase options, and are key to delivering new content recommendations tailored to the individual, across platforms and devices,” said Christy Martin, Chief Technical Advisor, ThinkAnalytics. “We’re pleased to work with IVA, as one of the world’s foremost distributors of online promotional content, to help viewers discover new programs and movies, and broaden their viewing habits.”
