Alliance Also Welcomes New Board Members: Ericsson's Yves Boudreau and Conviva's Keith Zubchevich

FREMONT, CA(15 Jun 2016)

The Streaming Video Alliance (SVA), an industry forum comprised of leading companies from the online video ecosystem, today named Jason Thibeault as its first Executive Director. Thibeault joins the Streaming Video Alliance from Limelight Networks, where he held a number of marketing leadership roles. As Executive Director of the SVA, Thibeault will act as chief evangelist and advocate for the Alliance within the streaming industry. The Alliance also announced the appointment of two new board members, Yves Boudreau, part of the CTO group focusing on TV and media technology strategy at Ericsson, and Keith Zubchevich, Chief Strategy Officer at Conviva.

"The SVA plays an important role in the building of common standards and metrics that will catapult over-the-top video to new heights," said Jason Thibeault, Executive Director, Streaming Video Alliance. "The Alliance has made great strides in solving important industry issues as evidenced by the recently announced guidelines for open caching and quality of experience (QoE). I look forward to my new role to drive the development and implementation of SVA's strategic plans and help the Alliance shape the future of online video."

Thibeault joins with over 15 years of digital marketing and leadership experience. Prior to joining SVA, Thibeault was an executive at Limelight Networks, where he was responsible for global product, solution and content marketing. Before joining Limelight Networks, he was founder and CTO of GoWare, Inc., a mobile-focused platform, where he drove all product development and execution.

The SVA also welcomes two new board members, Ericsson's Yves Boudreau and Conviva's Keith Zubchevich, who will help guide the Alliance as it continues to develop industry best practices and standards.

"At Ericsson, we're committed to delivering the highest quality, live and on demand streaming video," said Yves Boudreau, part of the CTO group focusing on TV and media technology strategy at Ericsson. "As a new SVA board member, I look forward to continued collaboration with the industry's brightest minds to develop best practices and specifications. With such a diverse member background -- it's a unique and exciting initiative to be a part of."

"Having been in the streaming industry for almost ten years, I passionately believe that the SVA is bringing a much needed sense of collaboration and leadership to the growing online video market," said Keith Zubchevich, Chief Strategy Officer, Conviva. "The SVA has made significant progress in working toward the development of industry guidelines and standards that benefit the entire streaming ecosystem and are paramount for the future of online video. It is an inspiring initiative and I'm honored to be joining the Board."

Today's announcement comes on the heels of two guideline documents that were unanimously approved by SVA members and released to the industry. The Open Caching Systems Functional Requirements and QoE Industry Guidelines are the culmination of extensive collaboration and input from the SVA Open Caching and Quality of Experience (QoE) Working Groups.
